About Us

Bruce Bittner established “Countryside Water Conditioning” in 1979 not long after moving his young family down to Clearwater from Minneapolis. Bruce was in real estate when he moved to Florida and ended up working for a water company. This fueled his passion for providing high quality water to residents and businesses of Pinellas County.  He made the decision to start his own company not long after. Over the next 4 decades he continued to graciously provided the Suncoast, to include Hillsborough and Pasco Counties, superior water quality through new and improved water treatments and softening techniques. Bruce retired in June of this year after 43 years of service.

Kimberly Knoesel, Bruce’s 2nd daughter, is now the proud owner of the company. Kimberly shares the same passion and vision as Bruce did to help people better their quality of life through the highest quality water.  Kimberly has the honor and pleasure of servicing a lot of Bruce’s original customers as well as welcoming new customers to the Countryside Water family daily.  Kimberly grew up in Clearwater, Florida and left in 1997 to obtain her undergraduate degree in business from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She moved to Missouri in 2007 and met Justin Knoesel 4 years later. Justin is in the U.S. Army National Guard and was in the process of deploying to the Middle East for a 13-month tour. They got married when he returned home in August of 2012.

Justin completed his Bachelor’s degree in marketing from Lindenwood University in 2015 and completed his M.B.A. a few years later. As fate would have it, Kimberly landed a great position with an international water company while Justin was completing a 5-year Active-Duty tour in Central Missouri. Her passion for the water business was again reignited leading to her agreeing to take over the family business when Bruce retired. She wanted nothing more than to change the quality of people’s lives by offering the best solution to clean water in their homes and businesses. Kimberly and Justin made the move to Clearwater, Florida in May of this year in order to continue running the business which Bruce put his heart and soul into. The company has shortened its name to just “Countryside Water.”  Justin is currently the COO of the business and he helps maintain the daily operations of the business as well as providing personalized service to all the customers. He is finishing his last contract with the military as a reservist in the Missouri National Guard.

Kimberly and Justin live in the Countryside area and are raising 2 future water purification experts. Sebastian is 7, and in the 1st grade, and Aria is 10, and in the 4th grade. They have both had the opportunity to go on service calls with Justin and are fascinated with learning how water purification systems work and love getting to say hello to the customers and their pets.
